Teammate Tuesday shout out to our girl who missed all of fall ball with an injury, (darn those other sports like soccer) but was at every practice, every scrimmage, every game, every inning and begging coach to let her play. “I’ll hit it far enough I won’t have to run.”
The kind of girl you want to have your back. That is the Xtreme KO!
Before “Back to school” we have “Back to softball!” Fall ball!
We go out as one!
We had a good run this weekend, but eventually an 8 game winning streak came to an end.
The bats went quiet to a team we were able to defeat in pool play. But these girls played with everything they had since Friday night, going 5-1 this weekend with 3 shutouts.
They have nothing to be disappointed about. The compliments from coaches, umpires and other parents make us, your coaches (and all your parents) Xtremely proud!
A shout out and thank you to our Canadian opponent, Chat O Cats Softball, who came down to Guilderland and played up in competition. After the game, their smiling team handed our girls these goodie bags. Softball sisters from up north.
A couple of very tough, good pool play games, and you girls never gave up! 3-0 against some very good competition.
You play every pitch, every out, every inning, every game!
We took some lumps, and we got up and kept fighting, like Rocky…er V!
